Samsung Galaxy updates to Android 2.2
Samsung Galaxy S i9000 seems to have updated its operating system to version 2.2 with a lot of new features and fix installed for earlier known problems like the GPS issue.
The company’s promise to get a fix for Galaxy S seems to have been accomplished according to the XDA-Developers’ forums. The new Galaxy S could connect to PC via the latest PC Suite called “Samsung’s Kies PC software“.
According to the latest press release by the brand Android 2.2 update would be first available in the Nordic countries in this month only i.e. “october” whereas for other countries – they’d have to wait!
European markets, Southeast Asia, the Middle East Asia, North America, Africa and rest of the world will get their Galaxy S updated to Android 2.2 a little later. There are also several countries where tweaks have solved the issue of GPS in Android 2.1.

- Adobe Flash Player 10.1 compatibility
- New Android Market with auto-updating
- Speed improvements
- Pinch-to-zoom home screen flyover
- Colored icons in settings
- Video records in MP4 format
